Basic Audit Skills (Auditing 101)

Auditing is about balancing objectives and procedures while focusing on the larger goals of risk mitigation and fraud detection. Auditing 101 starts at the ground level and leads you through the entire audit process step-by-step.

Auditors with five or fewer years of experience will learn about audit planning, risk assessment, choosing methodologies, creating audit programs, documenting fieldwork, and writing findings. The basics of interviewing and client relations are also covered. AICPA, IIA, and GAO audit standards are included.

The course features expert advice as well as case studies that illustrate the good and bad and the importance of each step in an audit. It’s an ideal course for recent graduates or those new to performing audits.
